At Esperaza we have two policeman and a third. He came later and is of course the Third Policeman (ref: Flann O'Brien for the culturally bereft.) Our two policemen are Frank and Barry. How charming and cosy is that... always a comfort.

Naturally this is a catastrophe for the community. Who will replace him? Barry and Didier? Barry and Jean-Marie? Doesn't bear thinking about.
The heat wave is back, lovely with a bit of a breeze; rumour has it that the TyRex will reopen tonight. Maybe, maybe not seems to be the consensus. I will go look.
Tonight at 6.30 there is an apero to start the fete - not sure where (I've lost the little programme ) but can't be that hard to find. And tomorrow at 10.00 am is the blessing of the horses outside the church followed by the horses and bulls trotting about a bit. I've forgotten the name for this but its sure to be smashing - seen it in the Camargue and its pain free and elegant. No blood is shed (hopefully). In the evening the usual bands will be playing somewhere and dry ice will be used.
All of which will be topped for sensationalism on the 18th when the artists of the town participate in ESPERAZ'ART. More reminders to follow.
