A mixture of post-covid chaos and embarrassment meant there was no party here. Roland and Kat stepped nimbly into the breach and took me and the captain to Leucate Villages for for lunch and then - oh wonder - to Rolands patch of terre by the sea, where he had provided mattresses so we could have a kip under the pine trees. Magic. And just when you think that being old ain't so bad after all, more wonders followed; apero at the vulture feeding station! They'd brought a cold bag thingie with blanquette in it and cake and quiches - and a handful of vultures wheeled about in the sky, feeding their young and generally rounding off the day.
Today, my first as an adult, went joyfully to the market...

News from Toby; she and Leo will be driving from Amsterdam in one day, the 19th - the Sunday of the Esperaza vide grenier . Joy will be truly unconfined :) Especially as - if all goes as planned - Margo and Theophile will be staying here.
