Not much happens in Esperaza so I allowed my camera to go to London in the van with Bob - less hand luggage when I go on fly out on Friday. I was confident that nothing would happen.
Which is why there is no image of a cast iron bath being lovingly removed from a first floor window by a fork-lift truck, from a house on the corner of the square - very surreal, especially as the driver just moved a barrier and closed off the road until he'd finished the job.
Nor is there a pic of our new swarm of bees currently making themselves comfortable in the old chimney of Bobs house. Place is full of them; he couldn't shower before leaving this morning (at 6.am) as they like the bathroom. They also seem to enjoy the cloud of incense I'm maintaining in the hope of discouraging them...
There is not a snap of the moon this morning, just before dawn - a bright sliver of a thing that lit the whole dark globe and highlighted the craters on its face. Looked like a cartoon hallucination.
--I daresay there'll be more missed photo opportunities before the day is over.
In the meantime Bob and Rachel are thundering towards London with a van full of my paintings. Anyone in Blighty on the 12th, please come to my expo at the Greenwich Gallery, Peyton Place, Greenwich at 6pm - in the presence of the Mayor of Greenwich - you'll get a glass of the good ole vin de pays d'oc :) (currently also in the van.)
If you happen to be near Lewes now or in the near future, take a look at Mins stuff here - Unmissable:)
