Starving in Esperaza

This photo was nearly impossible. Can you believe it, last night there were no restaurants open in Esperaza??? Andree was taking me and Alexia, her niece, out to dinner and naturally we thought, La Creperie. Seems they are on holiday, bah, but fair enough. The newly-named Authentique (ex-Normandy Frites)  ditto, so Andree rang the answerphone at St Gobains to reserve a table there. En route we ran into John and Margaret who had been to St Gobains and therefore knew before us that it was closed. Remembering that Walter had re-opened the lilac restaurant en route to Campagne sur Aude, off we all set.  Port in a storm, but not bad.

TyRex has a sign saying it will be opening soon... there's activity and redecorating at the Pont Cafe...

More prevarication; the promised voting slips still haven't arrived. We are being threatened with CCTV and the Mayor has offered us a chance to vote yeah or nay. All we have to do is take our voting slips to the town hall along with proof of habitation (household bill) and ID of some sort.
I have enquired and been told if mine hasn't come in a week I'm to ask for one. Suggest you do the same. Perhaps you are a Big Brother fan? Because unless you vote against that's the realm we'll be entering. July 6th is last chance, I believe.
