yesterday lunch; today, church

Bob took this of our French mother Andree at Le Brantalou, Espinet - great resturant, always forget how good it consistently is. (see  www.lespinet.comhttp://apartmentbraquecerbere.blogspot.fr//fr/le-domaine/se-restaurer/restaurant-le-brantalou )
Walked it off afterwards, at the site of Effisol - only the shadows remain, the ground being raized.

Then today, the market was a veritable hot bed of gossip. There will be an election, it seems. The mayor has altered the entry code to the maire so that the dissidents no longer have access. He was out with Msr Cross, canvassing - passions are running high. No-one yet knows who will be standing against him.

Jane Labatut was the councillor who led the breakaway group; she is also the boss of GESPPE who were singing at the church this afternoon. Much curisoity to see if the mayor would turn up - he did and gave an elegant vote of thanks to Jane :)
Gesppe were accompanied by a chorale from Genoble, called La Solorma - 7 blokes whose voices were matched beautifully and held us all enthralled.

Solorma singing in a circle - and below, standing room only -
The other excitement of the day was that Diane and Sharon, who are staying at Peter Dunns, discovered a vast spider in the bath. It was causing white faces and deep anxiety. Dear Mike Lovely was corralled en route to the bakers and gamely galloped up stairs and picked it up and threw it out of the window. Quelle horreur. Then he had to pick it up again and move it down the street to the begonias  outside the boulangerie. So now no-one can use the boulangerie, natch.
---it wasn't a hairy one, it was longlegged is all, though hand sized...
