celebrations - we've lived this long

 Lunch yesterday, celebrating 2020 -with Lizzie and Therese and Bob, in Le Grand Cafe in Limoux. It ain't Paris but its fun and the plat du jour was decent (lamb with olives)
Below is our newly-fitted new back door. Great excitement as the parrots had to be moved to the bathroom for the duration. They fluctuated between fear and fury. Reinstalled now and very chipper, Tango having developed a maniacal laugh.

 Celebrations continued at Pete and Clare's - with Cen and Annette and their two adorable offshoots, Rae and his sister and her earth-scientist partner. (Trouble with spelling names here) Noisy and frisky dinner, the best sort. The food was vegan and sans gluten; delicious and sat easily in the tum.

The young continue to amaze me. Intelligent and active and determined. Strange and novel feeling that the future is safe with them.
