Literate 'r' us

Introducing Samuel - moved here a few months ago and settling in enough to be laughing at the thought of the chess problem he has left me with. Bah.
That aside, he is an excellent neighbour; maker of tea, kumquats confit, distributer of epiphany cake.

That was yesterday; Today, here are Andrew, Bob, Norbert and Robin at Louise's lunch table. Conversation frisky, nosh gorgeous. Big thanks to all. It snowed steadily but didn't really settle so that's alright ---
Voila, the view!
And here, outside La Poste, is another little library. Delightful. Samuel, who is French, says he's not seen them anywhere else so we are all pleased about our charmingly literate Aude Valley.

  1. Hi Vanilla! Here is a clue to help you solve the chess problem :"Hit the rook, Jack" (and don´t you come back no more, no more, no more) 😊
About the "library boxes", sorry I let myself be misunderstood, there are plenty of those spread everywhere in France. 🤗
