And its Allennas birthday! She has reached the age where you no longer have to take your shoes off at airport security - who knew that there was that to look forward to :)
The most excellent Serrano bakery in Rue Victor Hugo was commissioned early in the morning to do the cake and the most kind Ian delivered it to the house ready for lunch while we were at RlC. (Cheers Ian - meant to leave you a slice but, erm, well, you know how it is)
Here's a pretty shot of Rennes le Chateau from the corner of Le Jardin de Mairie, where we saw TWO golden eagles circling -
and the headless demon in the church. The hands are variously replaced and repaired but the head is still being crafted (see posting passim for background info).
Pleased to see that the Mary Magdalene altarpiece is totally restored. There were too many quiet contemplatives in there for me to photograph it, but it looks just like it used to before the attack.
We lunched in the garden at home, since Markus had to leave us shortly afterwards. Jamsie joined us and entranced the team with his knowledge of Cathar history. Jose has to leave early tomorrow so he will miss the market. But tonight.... is the Poulet en velo!! Nevermind the Cybernetics, whats for dinner?
