Eating out

Lunch; with dear Claudinne at the Cafe du Pont, who have resumed their brilliant menus (14 euros for three courses and wine) We had Greek salad, pork and pasta, coupe Jackson. We left our menfolk to their sandwiches while we caught up with each others gossip.

Supper; Jamsie made a feast at the chateau - here he is eviscerating an artichoke - with gazpacho. basque sauce with pasta, cheese, then bananas with lime sorbet, chocolate ice cream and of course some vanilla. It all deserved a deal of lingering but we had to leave at 8.40 to get home on the dot of the curfew.


Its a wonderful life !!
