Home again

Been in lovely Porto - discovered the beach and of course a bunch of culture - got back yesterday and unpacked.
Then the storm hit.
Lots of thunder and lightening and enough rain to pour through the conservatory roof... so hey ho for the ex-Ty-Rex where Niel, Sorcha and Peter were dining, quelle joy! The place filled up quickly as the rain drove Esperazannais to hunt for dinner. Valerie has really made something of that place; the specials were 'chicken' or 'peeg' and we opted for the poulet. A stack of fresh vedg., courgettes, onion, red and green peppers all fried up together, a salad (small) and chicken lumps in fresh cepes sauce. We ate heartily then puddinging out (chocolate tart for me, apple for the Captain) and I managed to force down a demi litre of good red wine. All of which came in at a euro under 30.  Not as cheap as Porto but a very good fun evening.

Report from Tobys hospital bed coming up soon...
