Sad day redeemed by beauty

Deborah Jane Swallow
19 06 1961- 07 08 2018

This (below) from Debs funeral... a truly lovely event.

Stan and Miriam managed the whole thing beautifully. Standing room only in the chapel, masses of friends; Stan read a heartbreaking homily to the love of his life, in English and French, Miriam read a poem and then SANG, unaccompanied; there wasn't a dry eye in the place.  Purity of tone and expression in pace, with passion and clarity. Words to describe music escape me but she's real quality. To say that Debs would have loved it is daft - however....

Then we all queued to touch the coffin and make our farewells
and Stan played us out on the cello.
